My favorite window, right now, is the one I'm sitting next to. It covers nearly the whole length of my front room. Through it, I can see the charming cottage at the top of the driveway, any birds or cats that grace our front lawn, and LOADS of Connecticut Green.

Oooh, gorgeous, fun fabric!! Thanks for the chance to win! I love the window that looks out over my washer and dryer (I know, right?). It peeks out into my courtyard, our bricked patio in the back that is surrounded by bushes and hostas and clematis. The perfect place to a sit and read, or a tea party! I love seeing it when I wash the laundry!

My favorite window was the bay window in my first kitchen in Austin. We had pink gingham curtains & when the sun set the whole house was flooded with this awesome rose light. Plus, the cats really love to sit on the windowsill.

my favorite past window at the moment would be my window in dublin, ireland, which had on it some potted herbs because our roommate was a culinary arts major... also, since we had no tv, we could look out every evening to the nightclub across the street, open the window a crack, and be entertained with drunken drama. in the daytime, you could hear the horse and carriages on the cobblestones... also awesome. *grin*

ReplyDeleteMy favorite window should be the one in my bedroom where I can sit and look out onto Lake Michigan but now that I'm thinking about it, it's really the window in my son's room with a west view, looking out at the city of Chicago. I love it because we sit together, looking at the buildings, watching the traffic and the people go by, and checking out the sky.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite window would have to be in the elevator shaft of my floor freshman year. My dorm window, despite being on the 6th floor, looked out on a quad surrounded by buildings taller than 6 stories. But from the elevator shaft you could see the city stretching out flat, with the superdome and skyscrapers the only thing stopping the horizon from stretching out like the ocean.

My favorite window happens to be the one next to my sewing desk. It's on the second floor of my house and overlooks the backyard with my garden and peach tree. And, sometimes, my crazy puppies playing and getting into trouble. :)

I only lived there for a summer, but the window was positioned just right so that the rising sun would hit me in my bed early, early in the morning and wake me up. I loved lounging around in the sun like a cat before getting out of bed :-)

I watch the kids playing, the garden growing and wash dishes all at the same time. In fact, I had Wade chop down a perfectly good quince bush just so I could see my garden perfectly from that window. Like I told him, "What else are gardens and kitchens windows for??" Love you Laura.

My current favorite window is in my kitchen. The house we live in is an old farmhouse that has been remodeled several times, and somehow we ended up with window-panes in the doors in the kitchen and downstairs bedroom. I know, and the glass in one of the bottom panes in the kitchen door was broken long ago (unlike the one a little higher that was recently broken my my husband! lol) and makes a lovely little pass through for my daughter to crawl through, when she's not pressing her face against the glass and making faces. It's just what I used to do too when I was a child and spent the night there (it's my grandma's house). Anyway, that's my favorite window, because even though it doesn't look out into the world, through it I can see all the love inside my heart...

ReplyDeleteMy favorite window is a combination of past windows to make up the perfect one. It must be open with a curtain blowing a cool breeze into a warm room after a hot summer day, and it must have a tree or two to catch a glimpse of when the curtain blows aside briefly.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite window is the one in my bedroom! It frames the gorgeous Frangipani tree that grows outside beautifully :D The tree is especially lovely when it is covered in beautiful white and yellow flowers!!

Oh, my favorite window! That's an easy one. In our upstairs bedroom there is a dormer window that measures about 5 x 6 x 12 that I have converted into my little sewing nook. I put my machine right in front of the window, my ironing board along one wall and keep my supplies along the other wall. Also, I have painted one wall with magnetic primer and chalkboard paint to use as an inspiration/organizing space. Thanks for the giveaway. ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics and it's hard to choose as they are all just great. I think that the "Jade in My Window" and "Jade on blue" would have to be my first two choices that I like the most of all though.
My favourite window is in the back bedroom at my parents house - they live on a farm and have a wonderful stand of tall old pine trees right beside the house. The favourite window looks out onto the trees and there is always a nest of doves so you can hear their cooing too. Love your fabric.

We live in Ireland in the country surrounded by fields of various shades of green with the purple blue mountains in the distance - so any of the windows are my favourite places just to look out of and enjoy our surroundings

ReplyDeletemy favorite windows are the ones in my living room. they are the old style that are supposed to open out at the bottom, but unfortunately were painted shut by previous owners. :( they go almost from floor to ceiling and span about 10 feet. i love how they let the sunshine fill the room...
My favorite window is the one over my kitchen sink. I hate doing dishes! The task is lightened when I glance out the window and see squirrels playing tag among the trees, or see the snapping turtles sunning themselves beside the pond. Ahhh, nature!

Hello and thank you for hosting such a neat giveaway. I really like your fabrics...Blue Window Large is FANTABULOUS and I like Jade in my window...they are all great. My favorite window is a round window that is positioned in our closet of all places, but it is lovely just the same...no curtain, just window letting in the outside.
